Prof Alexandros Karagrigoriou

Prof Alexandros Karagrigoriou obtained his BSc degree from the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras, Greece and his MA, PhD from the University of Maryland, USA. He is employed at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Cyprus since 1992 and is working as an Associate Professor since 2002. He has worked at the University of Maryland, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Institute of Statistical Sciences, Taiwan and taught at the Universities of Maryland, Athens, the Aegean, and Cyprus. Prof Konstantin Miller

Prof Konstantin Miller was born in Germany in 1950. He obtained his BSc from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munichand his PhD in Human Genetics and Anthropology from the Institute of Anthropology and Human Genetics, University of Munich. He is the Head of the Clinical Cytogenetic Laboratory at the Institute of Human Genetics, Hannover Medical School since 1983 and Professor in Human Genetics since 2005. Prof. Miller is a scientist with international reputation known for his contribution in the introduction of chorionic villus prenatal diagnosis in Hannover. Dr Voula Velissariou

Dr Voula Velissariou received her BSc degree from the Department of Biology, University of Athens, Greece and her PhD in Genetics from the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, UK. She underwent specialization training in cytogenetic prenatal diagnosis methods and CVS culture techniques from the Department of Medical Genetics, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, UK. Dr Velissariou has also obtained training in molecular Cytogenetic methodologies from Guy's Hospital, London and University College London, London. Prof Joris Vermeesch

Prof Joris Vermeesch was born in Belgium in 1965. He obtained his BSc degree from the Bioengineer University of Gent, Belgium and his PhD degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Nebraska, USA. He is the Head of the Cytogenetics unit of the CME-UZ research group since 2001 and the Coordinator of Genomics Core since 2008. Furthermore, as from 2008, Prof. Vermeesch has been elected as the President of the Belgian Society of Human Genetics.
