NIPD Genetics LTD has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office covering the identification of fetal-specific methylation markers on chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X and Y and the development of a Non-Invasive Prenatal Diagnostic (NIPD) test for Down syndrome (trisomy 21).
